Norlida Abdul Hamid earned her PhD in Transport from University Malaya, Malaysia, M.Sc. (Transport) from University of Salford, UK in 1988 and Advanced Diploma Business Admin.(Transport) from Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) in 1985. She has been with the university for 28 years. Her field of research includes park-and-ride schemes, halal logistics and supply chain management. Her international research grant under the CLMV program with universities in Vietnam is on ‘Understanding and Quantifying Driver Behaviour Characteristics in Relation to Road Safety in Vietnam’. Her current supervision with her doctorate students includes research on maritime accidents, airport planning and management, marketing strategies for international airline services and low cost carriers and mathematical modeling for railway delays.
